Born in Lucca, where she lives and works, Gary Angeli received her diploma "Maestra d'Arte" at the A. Passaglia Art Institute of Lucca. After which she taught in various schools, among which, the Scientific High School, the Preparatory Institute and middle schools.
After an "internship" of work and research, she modestly approached the public in 1980. During the following years she presented interesting solo shows in Italy and abroad. Starting from life, she takes her subjects and re-elaborates them in her studio.
Using a limited palette she states with cold tones that increasingly become richer. On her canvas appear visions on Lucca's architecture that insert themselves in the pictoric fabric, made warmer and more suggestive. Her works always transpire an enchantment for her mythic city.
